Chocolate Chip Cookies
The classic chocolate chip cookie done right: golden edges, a soft chewy center, and melty pockets of chocolate in every bite.
Ingredients
- 280 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 225 g unsalted butter, softened
- 150 g brown sugar
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 300 g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter with brown and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined, then fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto sheets, spaced 5 cm apart.
- Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
